Dell has just introduced a NEW line of green desktop computers, The Studio Hybrid. It’s Dell’s smallest and most environmentally friendly consumer PC on the market. PC boasts an Intel Pentium Core 2 Duo processor and runs on Windows Vista. You can also get up to 4GB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM.
The Studio Hybrid is 80% smaller than Dells’ regular desktops, uses 70% less power, meets Energy Star 4.0 standards, the packaging is comprised of 95% recycled materials, and comes with a recycling kit.
Customers can configure a Studio Hybrid with variety of optional technologies and peripherals to make it truly unique, like:
- Optional Wi-Fi networking – allows people to place the PC anywhere that’s convenient for them.
- Optional wireless keyboard and mouse help ensure a clean desktop, counter top or coffee table.
- Optional Blu-Ray Disc drive for watching high-definition DVDs.
- Optional TV tuner that enables users to watch, pause and record live TV.
The new PC starts at $529 CAN ($499 USD), and Dell’s launch of this new line is in step with its aggressive pursuit of HP. Dell trails HP in the desktop PC market at number two.
